NOTE: Water-resistant is not the same as waterproof. Water-resistant means the fabric will repel moisture for a time but not as long as a totally waterproof fabric. Even waterproof fabrics will lose their effectiveness over time.
We also advertise our blankets as water-resistant since they do have a back seam and this can let moisture seep in. Low bias surcingles are best since straight surcingles sewn across the blanket can let in more moisture due to all the stitching.
The best way to seal off the back seam or stitching from the surcingles is to buy a waterproofing spray and spray along the seam/surcingles to seal it off.
These fabrics are all "Magna-Tuf" brand 800-1080 water-resistant deniers.

Open fronts available:
An double closure open front is also available for an extra $4.00. A single closure open front is $2.25.
These can be done with either the nickle plated bar buckles/webbing or the plastic quick release closures.
Leg straps: These are constructed with webbing and heavy black elastic.
The leg straps can be done with a nickel plated spring snap/d-ring or the plastic quick release closures.
Leg straps are not detachable.
